Cass St., 1889-1966 Albion College campus Description The Sigma chi fraternity house was erected in 1886 at 1100 E. Cass St. It was the first fraternity house erected specifically to house Greeks at Albion College. It was used until 1966, at which time the fraternity moved into newly constructed modern facilities on E. Erie St. P13 Source: Frank Passic. (Impromptu Speaking Club), Alpha Pi chapter of Sigma Chi was installed at Albion in 1886. The house shown here was built in 1889 and was located at 1100 E. Cass Street. It was the first fraternity house erected specifically to house fraternity members at Albion. During WWII the house was called the Interfraternity and Independent Hall. Source: Alby Zatkoff, 2002.
